This past Sunday was Father's Day and it was our families second year of celebrating all that your daddy does for his family. You probably won't recognise what a fabulous father you have until you're much older. I didn't recognise what a great guy your Grandpa is until I was moving out of his house after high school! I thought I would share a few of my favourite photos of you and your dad so far...
But let's first start with a photo from before you arrived on the scene. We will be old when time catches up and you're wise enough to really take this all in! I bet you'll be thinking how young we look in the picture below. You might even be struck by the strange realisation that your parents actually had a life before you arrived on the scene! Though, it must be said, not nearly as wonderful!
Here we are in Paris and in love! We hope one day you will travel to Paris with someone special. We hope you'll wander the streets hand in hand with someone who adds so much to your life that living without them would be out of the question. We hope you'll be so in love you won't notice the fact that there is a whole lot more French police van than Arche deTriomphe in this shot! The police were on roller blades oddly enough, but that is a story for another time! For the next few precious years, that will probably fly by, the special guy in your life will be your dad. What a lucky girl you truly are....

This brought tears to my eyes... Fathers and daughters are SO special! My daughter (now 27) really does have her Dad wrapped right around her little finger. We joke about it all the time, but it's true. My Dad and I were never close, and it's oh so nice to see just how wonderful that relationship can be...for both of them.
Bea is a charmer, as is your husband! Love reading of your life together. oxox
Thanks Libby! I think my sweet girl and hubby are cuties too, in my 'unbiased' opinion of course! I know what you mean about the special relationship between fathers and daughters. Its so wonderful for a girl to grow up with a loving dad. It sounds like your daughter is very lucky to have you and your husband as parents. I know another little girl that may have her dad wrapped around her little finger too...
love this blog....what a great tribute to your husband! I love the generation below mine....seems like the dads are making way more effort to spend time with their kids...even their daughters. It is so very important to them becoming a mature young lady who has had a wonderful example set for her when she begins her search for a husband! It is a circle that has no end.....only good things can come from it. Thanks for sharing.
